The electrophoresis coating line is one of the common coating processes used in the automotive manufacturing industry. 

It uses electrophoretic coating technology to cover the surface of automotive parts with paint evenly for the purpose of protecting and beautifying the appearance of the vehicle.

Application:

Body painting: Electrophoresis coating lines are widely used in the painting process of car bodies. On the line, the car body undergoes several processes, including pre-treatment, electrophoretic coating, drying and curing, to ensure that the paint is applied evenly over the entire surface of the body and forms a strong protective layer.

Parts painting: In addition to the bodywork, the electrodeposition coating line is also used to paint various automotive parts, such as doors, roofs and body frames. These parts are pre-treated and then the paint is evenly covered by the electrophoretic coating technique, providing protection and decoration.

Mainstream types:

Cathodic Electrodeposition (CED): cathodic electrodeposition is the most commonly used type of electrodeposition coating. CED provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance and offers excellent protection.

Anodic Electrodeposition (AED): Anodic electrodeposition is another type of electrodeposition coating that is relatively rarely used. The AED coating has a high abrasion and chemical resistance and is suitable for parts with special requirements.

Waterborne Electrodeposition: Waterborne electrodeposition is an environmentally friendly coating process that uses water-based paint instead of traditional solvent-based paint. It has advantages in terms of reducing VOC emissions and environmental pollution and is becoming the mainstream choice for electrodeposition coating lines.
